Finance Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly/quarterly management accounts.
• Ensure compliance to MFRS, Group Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurate, up-to-date, and regularly monitored.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
• Work closely with the management to translate financial data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making.
• Undertake special/ad-hoc assignments and other duties as necessary.
• Any other duties assigned by superiors from time to time.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree level or equivalent, preferably in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance management role, preferably within a trading and distribution company.
• Proficient in English, Chinese, and Malay, in both verbal and written.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment and with people at all levels, possessing good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong people management skills - you will need to be able to motivate your team members.
• Deadline-driven - you will set the monthly and year-end timetable to ensure the finance division meets reporting deadlines.
