FINANCE MANAGER

Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role involves managing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and accounting functions. The Finance Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into performance metrics to support decision-making across departments and ensure that financial targets are met.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or a professional degree (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, etc).
2. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of managerial experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and manufacturing cost structures.
4. Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, ERP systems, and financial analysis tools.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
7. Ability to manage time, especially in meeting deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage the company’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
2. Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to the management team.
3. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
4. Oversee preparation of statutory and regulatory reports in compliance with accounting standards.
5. Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
6. Monitor and control operational costs, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
7. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and profitability.
8. Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team, providing guidance on financial reporting, analysis, and best practices.
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
