As a Finance Manager here, you'd be responsible for overseeing the work of the finance team, with the support of Finance/Accounts Executives. Reporting to our Managing Director, you will assist with the preparation of management accounts and the month-end process.

You need to be an expert in your field and passionate to know in depth about our industry. The work is challenging and fast-paced. Job Responsibilities

  • Highly experienced in manufacturing line, know how to present the numbers and mindful of numbers concerning manufacturing margins ie overtime excess, costing, wastages, rejections etc.
  • Be a leader to coach, guide and develop the skills of finance and accounting team to perform daily financial operations. Offer valuable insights to the team and support other functions within the team.
  • Monitor month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Check and validate monthly Gross Margin and monitor Cost of Goods Sold.
  • Meticulous, organized, and possess strong analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform month-end account closing of full set management account for timely submission.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly production costing as well as monthly, quarterly & yearly financial and management reports. Ensure financial reporting is updated & recorded and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure monthly financial transactions are accurately recorded and reviewed in the accounting system. Check and verify the accuracy of financial events such as revenue recognition, costing, expenses, provisions, and accruals.
  • Work closely with Sales team and review the sales forecast or simulation and ensure the monthly accrue calculation are aligned with trading terms.
  • Handle full aspect of annual business plan, cash flow management, audit, and tax submission.
  • Implement the procedures and submission compliance of E-invoicing and SST returns, MFRS, Company Policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare and manage financial planning, projections, and annual budgeting process to align with company's objectives. Analyze, revise, and update periodic forecasts using financial modelling system based on actual performance and to take into account the changes in business environment. Work with department HODs to gather budget inputs and insights and ensure they are aligned with overall company goals and financial guidelines.
  • Conduct financial and cost-benefit analysis to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement by providing detailed explanations and recommendations for any discrepancies identified. Work closely with other departments to understand the causes of variances and assist in developing action plans.
  • Review and update the Accounting Policy such as to regularly review the Customer Policy & Contract and provide support for business development if needed.
  • Compile and ensure compliance with requirements, guidelines, rules and regulations of the law and government bodies.
  • Design, formulate and implement department policies and practices to improve processes and increase efficiencies and accuracy.
  • Handle corporate taxation computation and estimates and also comply with tax audit requirements.
  • Handle full spectrum of Treasury & Cash Flow management for fund availability and negotiate financing deals with bankers for attractive facilities such as LC, BG, OD, forex hedging etc.
  • Deal with external auditor on compliance and resolve issues of yearly audit findings.
  • Undertake special and ad-hoc assignment and other duties as and when required by the company from time to time.
  • Any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Candidate must possess a Degree in Finance/Accountancy/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience handling full set of accounts and cost management.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry is required.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English is compulsory with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiar with accounting or cloud accounting software such as AutoCount, SQL Account, Sage One, Financio, Biztory, Quickbooks etc.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment and with people at all levels.
  • Self-starter, flexible, highly organized and work independently with strong critical and creative thinking skills to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial data.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to manage a team and deal with people.
  • Proficient with financial software and database to prepare various reports and to track data and trends.
  • Capable of meeting narrow deadlines while maintaining accuracy and high-quality standards.
  • Must be willing to work in Section 51, Petaling Jaya with occasional travel to factory in Batu Pahat, Johor.
