Finance Manager

We are an established luggage importer and distributor in Kepong seeking suitable candidates for the below position.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Professional membership (MIA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on month-end close and financial reporting, especially in the consumer durable product industry.
• Exposure to consolidated group accounts.
• Proven experience in managing monthly financial reporting cycles and working with accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (MFRS).
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and deliver accurate financial information.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior management and other departments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience in corporate finance is an added advantage.
• Ability to maintain high confidentiality, with a tactful and discreet approach when dealing with sensitive matters.
• Preferably with proficiency in Mandarin to communicate effectively in a Mandarin-speaking environment.
• Flexible with working hours to accommodate the needs of the business.

• Responsible for the full spectrum of finance including timely preparation of financial and management reports as well as analysis of results.
• Plan and control the company's cash flow, funding, and budget allocation.
• Control and manage end-to-end financial processes, including collections, payments, monthly close activities, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures are fully compliant with Financial Reporting Standards.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and any other financial reports, ensuring timely submission and compliance with relevant governing rules, standards, and requirements.
• Establish effective internal control procedures to improve accounting and reporting systems.
• Take charge of the budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial goals aligned with the company's overall strategy.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and assist in managing the audit process for the companies.
• Develop good relationships with external parties, e.g., solicitors, bankers, and statutory organizations.
• Provide effective leadership to the finance/accounts team, offering guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Involvement and participation in the whole process of Initial Public Offer (IPO) exercise for the Group of Companies.
• Analyze, extract, study, and prepare for relevant information and/or documents required for the IPO exercise under the guidance and direction of CFO.
• Assist and coordinate with colleagues from different departments and external parties such as principal advisors, reporting accountants, legal counsels, etc., during the entire Due Diligence Exercise.
• Post IPO continuous compliance and disclosure in accordance with the listing requirements.
• Undertake other projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
