FINANCE MANAGER

The Finance Manager, Subsidiary Finance & Accounts, is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of GIIB Rubber Compound Sdn. Bhd. This role includes financial planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure the subsidiary's financial health and alignment with corporate objectives. The Finance Manager will drive financial strategy, manage financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management and Reporting:
   • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
   • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the corporate office.
   • Analyze financial performance and prepare reports to provide insights into the subsidiary’s financial health.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
   • Lead the annual budgeting process for the subsidiary.
   • Develop financial forecasts and monitor budget variances, providing recommendations for adjustments.
   • Coordinate with various departments to ensure budget alignment with company goals.
3. Strategic Financial Planning:
   • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the subsidiary’s long-term growth and profitability.
   • Provide financial analysis and insights for strategic decision-making.
   • Assist in the development and execution of business plans.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:
   • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
   • Manage audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
   • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
5. Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
   • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
   • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
   • Optimize investment of surplus funds to maximize returns.
6. Cost Management:
   • Monitor and control the subsidiary’s expenses to improve profitability.
   • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or performance.
   • Conduct regular financial reviews to identify areas for cost reduction.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
   • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and support.
   • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development needs.
   • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
8. Stakeholder Management:
   • Communicate financial performance and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
   • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
   • Serve as a liaison between the subsidiary and corporate finance departments.
9. Systems and Process Improvement:
   • Evaluate and improve financial systems, policies, and procedures.
   • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
   • Leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
10. Project Management:
    • Manage financial aspects of projects, including capital investments and business expansion.
    • Ensure projects are financially viable and aligned with company goals.
    • Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure successful completion.
