Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies (e.g., GST, corporate tax, SST).
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies for audits and financial reporting.
Maintain and oversee the General Ledger (GL), ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure financial stability.
Identify financial risks and implement risk management strategies.
Develop cost control measures to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Manage tax planning, filing, and compliance for corporate tax, GST, SST, and other applicable taxes.
Work closely with tax consultants and auditors to ensure timely submission of tax returns.
Keep up to date with financial laws and government regulations affecting the business.
Oversee and enhance the use of AutoCount or other accounting software to improve efficiency.
Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies and fraud.
Continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and financial reporting systems.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to team members on financial best practices.
Foster collaboration with other departments to achieve financial and business goals.
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a managerial role.
Proficiency in AutoCount or other accounting software.
Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL), taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and budget forecasting.
