Job Description

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Oversee tax planning, audits, and regulatory filings to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Cost Management & Operational Finance

• Monitor refinery operating costs, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and working capital.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Manage financial risks, ensuring proper controls and compliance with corporate policies.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Work closely with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
• Provide financial guidance to department heads on budgeting and cost control.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, CIMA preferred).
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong background in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industry is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, and cost control.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and Malaysian financial regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Language Skills

• Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to liaise with regional stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
