Finance Manager

Job Description

1. Lead the finance function comprising accounting/finance operations, financial closing and financial reporting.
2. Oversee general ledger, accounts payables and account receivables to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results for management review.
3. Evaluate current accounting and tax deficiencies and drive improvements when required.
4. Review full set of monthly management accounts and perform data analysis on key performance indicators and ratios to support decision-making.
5. Ensure compliance to tax regulations, accounting standards and company policies.
6. Prepare quarterly financial consolidation package for submission to group finance.
7. Assist to prepare quarterly bursa reports write-up for group finance.
8. Prepare quarterly tax computation, estimates, deferred tax schedules and withholding taxes.
9. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities (Bank Negara, Ministry of Finance and Customs Department).
10. Manage monthly eInvoice compliance via direct API interface, self-billed eInvoice and manual submission.
11. Oversee quarterly compliance to AMLA guidelines, prepare Bank Negara submission for AMLA/CFT Policies, and undertake the Compliance Officer role to liaise with Bank Negara.
12. Manage SOPs periodically, improve internal controls and update risk registers quarterly.
13. Oversee department's warehouse for document storage and disposal in line with income tax compliance.
14. Provide coaching and mentoring to the finance team to drive teamwork, cohesion and performance.
15. Participate in monthly draw activities on monthly basis.
16. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

1. Possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance and qualified MIA member with ACCA/CIMA/CPA.
2. Preferable with 6-8 years of experience as a Finance Manager.
3. Experience in managing full financial accounting function for listed companies.
4. Ability to drive process improvements and automation.
5. Ability to lead big team of 10-15 people.
6. Language proficiency - English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
7. Proficient in computerized accounting environment, Office 365, Accounting Systems, Technology, Data Analytics.
