Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or working towards certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial software (e.g., SQL or similar).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Proficient in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu.

1. Financial Management and Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper allocation of funds.
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee the reconciliation of accounts, including bank, supplier, and customer accounts.

2. Compliance and Auditing

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation during internal and external audits.
• Monitor changes in financial regulations and ensure company adherence.

3. Accounting Operations

• Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Review and approve journal entries, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
• Assist in streamlining accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and support to the finance team, including mentoring junior staff.
• Assist in training team members on accounting practices and financial tools.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure team alignment with organizational goals.
