Description

The Finance Lead role involves supporting the Finance team in daily operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and group requirements. Key responsibilities include:

1. Core Accounting Functions: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
2. Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, statutory reports, cash flow projections, tax submissions, and notes to accounts.
3. Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Support cost control efforts by analyzing actual expenses and budget variances, providing actionable insights.
4. Planning and Budgeting: Assist with budgeting processes and financial planning.
5. System and Process Improvement: Contribute to system enhancements and process improvements.
6. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, regulatory authorities, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance with statutory and group requirements.
7. Ad-Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by superiors as needed.

Profile

1. Minimum 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or BIG 4 audit with the added advantage of Shared Services exposure.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
3. Preferably familiar with SAP systems.
4. The role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to manage compliance and stakeholder relationships effectively.
