Job description

Japanese-based Company focusing on processing Silicon Metal.

Responsibilities

  1. Finance responsibilities
  2. Define, create, and oversee the implementation of the accounting and finance policy in compliance with the Malaysian law.
  3. Coordinate and carry out day-to-day financial functions of the company.
  4. Maintain cash flow projections by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
  5. Handling full set accounts for the company.
  6. Prepare financial reports in compliance with the headquarters’ requirements and Malaysian law.
  7. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete monthly employee expense reports.
  8. Assist management in budget formation and forecasting process.
  9. Human Resources responsibilities
  10. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with the Malaysian and Sarawak labour laws.
  11. Manage and carry out day-to-day full spectrum HR functions of the company such as:
  12. Handling the full recruitment process from sourcing, coordinating interviews, work permit applications, etc. up until the onboarding of new employees.
  13. Process and maintain monthly payroll and tax reports.
  14. Manage the implementation of employee welfare and benefits, monitoring usage, and review as and when needed.
  15. Assist HODs in identifying employee training needs and coordinating relevant training programmes.
  16. Handle employee disciplinary issues and advising the management on disciplinary actions in compliance with the labour law.
  17. Issuing relevant letters and memos to employees.
  18. Other responsibilities
  19. Assist management in implementation of new IT systems related to the plant operations, such as the accounting system, payroll system, inventory management system, etc.
  20. Assist the factory GM in scheduling and work arrangements from time-to-time.
  21. Remain up to date on the latest news or amendments to the related regulations, such as the accounting law, tax regulations, labour law, immigration procedures, statutory requirements, etc.
  22. Any ad-hoc tasks as and when required by the management.

Requirements

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Human Resources/Business Administration or any other relevant fields of study.
  2. Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in Finance and HR.
  3. Background in manufacturing plants or factory settings.
  4. Preferably possessing knowledge in inventory/warehousing systems.
  5. Able to work independently with minimum support due to company being a new establishment.
  6. Language: English, Bahasa Malaysia. Japanese speakers are at an added advantage, but not mandatory.
  7. Willing to work in Samalaju.
