FINANCE EXECUTIVE (COSTING)

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in Finance & Cost Accounting in Manufacturing.
• Working experiences in integrated real-time ERP systems a must.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Able to work well with people and possess a positive attitude towards work with a willingness to work some additional hours during peak periods.

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, pivot tables), with good Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Aggressive, meticulous and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Valuation & Costing:

• Responsible for inventory valuation as per company policies & guidelines.
• Ensure accurate recording of inventory costs in financial statements.

Cost Analysis & Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
• Prepare and analyze monthly production standard costing vs actual production costs. Variances.
• Analysis on Direct Materials, Direct Labour & Overhead Costs.
• Monitoring daily production output & cost control.

Financial Compliance & Controls:

• Ensure compliance with IFRS/MFRS and company financial policies.
• Support audits by providing relevant inventory valuation and cost data.

Fixed Asset Management:

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
• Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets in line with accounting standards.
• Conduct physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile with system records.
• Assist in fixed asset tagging, tracking, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards regarding fixed asset management.

Others:

• Assist on month-end closing process.
• Assist Finance Manager on management reporting, yearly budget, banking related matters and any ad-hoc tasks.
• Communicate with customers and vendors when necessary.
• Assist Finance Manager to compile and fulfill statutory requirement on audit and taxation.
