Job Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

1. Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
2. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
3. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Budgeting And Cost Control

1. Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and monitor budgetary performance.
2. Track and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide explanations for discrepancies.
3. Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses and improve overall financial efficiency.
4. Identify areas of potential cost savings and recommend strategies to achieve them.

Financial Operations

1. Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
3. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity.
4. Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Financial Reporting And Compliance

1. Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.
2. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and reporting standards.
3. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and communicate relevant updates to the finance team.
4. Assist in the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with tax advisors as needed.

Financial Planning And Investment

1. Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting financial due diligence.
2. Support the development of investment strategies and financial models to maximize returns.
3. Monitor investment portfolios and provide periodic performance reports.
4. Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial decisions and initiatives.

Qualifications And Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
2. Proven work experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of finance principles, financial analysis, and accounting practices.
4. Proficiency in financial software and tools, including accounting systems and spreadsheet applications.
5. Proficiency in both Malay and English is a requirement for this role. Mandarin language skills are considered a valuable asset.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
7. Familiarity with industry-specific financial practices and trends is a plus.

Workdays

Monday to Friday (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Saturday (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
