Role Description

Handle Inventory:

  • Perform all necessary processes of accounting to ensure that all physical inventory is available, recorded accurately in the accounting system, and used appropriately as per NSG Group policy and local policy requirements, including performing inventory counting as per the policies.

Handle Asset:

  • Perform all necessary processes of accounting of capitalized assets including recording, management of in-process assets, transfer, sale/retirement, and reconciliation of fixed assets to ensure that all physical assets are available, recorded accurately, and used appropriately as per NSG Group policy and local policy requirements.

Treasury:

  • Oversee cash balance, bank statement input, and cash book reconciliation.
  • Act as key contact person with the bank (Commercial and State Bank) to ensure all transactions proceed smoothly, including providing all documents as required.
  • Manage Loan/Facility Agreement including interest and repayment; act as the key contact person with State Bank to prepare documents/register/reports for loans to State Bank and other requirements as needed; ensure that loan and interest balances are complete, accurate, and valid in the accounting system.

Other tasks:

  • Handle overhead costs incurred in the accounting period including accrual/prepayment/cost allocation.
  • Journal Posting: post manual entries in the accounting system as assigned.
  • Raise requests in the system for any updates related to Master Data Change requests from Departments (GL accounts, Inventory, Fixed Asset, etc.) and ensure that they have been approved according to the company Authority Matrix.

Internal Control: Perform monthly account reconciliation of GL accounts and task control related to his/her roles.

Assume other assignments as required by the Finance Manager from time to time.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in similar roles is an advantage. Newly Graduated candidates with lesser years of experience are also considered.
  • A relevant accounting qualification or certification, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting.
  • Takes personal responsibility and ownership for achieving results & objectives.
  • Proactive in managing self-development and learning activities. Eager to learn new things and willing to accept challenges.
  • Hardworking, attentive to detail, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and English.
