Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant/Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with other departments to support financial operations and ensure smooth business processes.

Responsibilities

  • General Accounting: Assist in day-to-day accounting functions, including processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, and preparing journal entries.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks, including verifying, posting, and reconciling invoices and payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately, and discrepancies are addressed.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely data entry into accounting software or spreadsheets, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
  • Tax Compliance: Support in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations.
  • Audit Support: Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and clarifications as needed.
  • Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized records of financial transactions, contracts, and supporting documents for easy retrieval.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in an accounting role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software Xero and MS Office (especially
  • Excel).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with different departments and external stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
