Finance Director

Our client is a leading global manufacturing and supply chain solutions provider, serving top-tier customers in industries such as technology, aerospace, and healthcare. With a strong presence in Malaysia, they are seeking a Finance Director to lead the finance function and drive strategic initiatives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Role Overview:

The Finance Director will play a crucial role in financial strategy, business planning, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Regional CFO, this role will partner with business leaders to ensure strong financial performance, compliance, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have experience in a multinational, manufacturing environment and the ability to lead in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership: Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth.
2. Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and supply chain, to improve cost efficiencies and financial performance.
3. Controllership & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IFRS, SOX, and local regulatory requirements while maintaining strong internal controls.
4. Operational Finance: Oversee plant finance operations, including costing, inventory management, and CAPEX investments.
5. Risk & Treasury Management: Monitor FX exposure, working capital, and hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks.
6. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the finance team to enhance capabilities and succession planning.
7. M&A & Investment Analysis: Support strategic projects, including investment feasibility studies and expansion initiatives.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CPA, ACCA preferred).
2. 10+ years of finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing/MNC environment.
3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, supply chain finance, and IFRS compliance.
4. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or electronics industry is a plus.
5. Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, or other ERP systems.
6. Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
7. Experience working with regional and global teams in a matrix structure.
