Job Description

The Finance Director (Asia) will be in the lead together with the other members in the Management Team for company new phase to control further growth. The role includes financial and business controlling to improve working capital, cashflow and profitability for various operational units within the Asian part of the Group (two locations in Penang, Malaysia and one location in Leshan, China).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Drives the current financial team(s) in performing/reviewing the monthly reporting and compile the required deliverables under the company accounting standards based on MPERS.
2. Drives the further development of the business control function in order to share the outcomes with the Management Team(s) to monitor and take actions to improve the KPI's.
3. Seniority to support the Management Team(s) and Managing Director Asia.
4. Drives and supports the critical operations processes to secure the committed output/financial plan.
5. Develop further strong focus on working capital, cashflow and cost management.
6. Prepare analysis on capital project investments and other business proposals. Ensure sound business case and realistic cost/benefit analyses are made against new opportunities and initiatives.
7. Ensure further automation in (financial) processes and take responsibility and actions on the required attention points.
8. Embed and secure group-wide way of working.
9. Drives the financial year-end closing and support financial audits.
10. Coordination of the budget- and forecasting processes.
11. Monthly analysis.

Qualifications

Requirements

1. At least Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Controlling. Master Degree will be an added advantage.
2. Strong hands-on attitude and act as a Finance Director.
3. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in manufacturing industry. Candidates with experience in high-tech production environment will be preferred.
4. Candidate MUST have experience working in European or US based company.
5. Relevant experience with financial and business control and knowledge of reporting (MPERS).
6. Experience and effectiveness in working both at Management Team(s) level but also as a finance team member, including reporting and communicating in an international environment.
7. Affinity with IT and ERP software (preferably Fujitsu Glovia), Power BI and MS Excel.
