Finance Assistant Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant Manager to join Elna PCB (M) Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturing company based in Perai, Penang. As the Finance Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial support and analysis to the organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and contributing to the overall financial management of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making processes
• Providing financial analysis and insights to help drive business strategy and operational improvements
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and the finance team, to provide financial support and guidance
• Ensuring the timely and accurate submission of financial reports to relevant regulatory bodies
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function

What we're looking for

• Fluency in Mandarin is required as the role involves communication with clients and counterparts in Taiwan and China.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in the use of financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and spreadsheet applications
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
