Job description

Accounts & Tax Compliance
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reconciliations, including bank statements and supplier payments.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process, including preparation of financial reports and journal entries.
Ensure compliance with Malaysia’s e-invoicing requirements and support the implementation of e-invoice processes in line with LHDN guidelines.
Handle corporate tax planning, SST/GST filings, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders.
Monitor and control inventory costing and stock-related financial matters.

Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide key insights for business decisions.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards (MFRS).
Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies to optimise operational efficiency.

Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop and maintain annual budgets, financial projections, and cost control strategies.
Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profit margins.
Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for financial improvements.

Payroll & Financial Systems
Oversee payroll processing, staff claims, and other financial transactions.
Maintain and enhance the use of financial systems, ERP, and accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, SQL Payroll & Intuit Quickbooks).
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, including supplier and vendor management.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CPA, or CIMA certification is an advantage).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance/accounting managerial role, preferably in Construction or Real Estate industries.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (SQL) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
