The Transport Operations Senior Associate is responsible to contribute operational expertise, task control/monitoring, and participate in specific KPI/follow-up forums, while performing transport operations management for Airbus FHS activities with a worldwide customer base and 24/7/365 operations, primarily focusing on AOG and urgent transportations, ensuring customer demands are met with optimized transport time and cost.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expertise and guidance to junior team members in terms of best practices and know-how.
Implement and maintain daily operations task control to ensure no outstanding tasks without justification/escalation.
Provide further support and inputs relevant for high-level KPIs such as shelf-to-shelf, Performance to Entitlement, On Time Delivery, etc.
Contribute to dedicated follow-up meetings on specific activities such as customer scheduled orders follow-up.
Challenge the transport service provider to provide the quickest and most reliable transport solutions to meet customers’ deadlines, and propose alternative solutions where appropriate.
Ensure close end-to-end AOG transportation follow-up, including timely identification of transport issues and resolution, including decision making based on urgencies and cost impact, and escalation when necessary.
Obtain and provide near real-time transport status updates to all stakeholders including any queries, ensuring high levels of reactivity and accuracy.
Identify, analyze, manage, and follow up transport issues in daily operations to avoid further time lost in the supply chain.
Identify any shipment losses and damages, obtain all necessary evidence, and initiate claims to the transport service providers.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations (export control, customs, dangerous goods regulations, etc.). Facilitate applications of the relevant permits including preparation of End-User Statements, permit application forms as applicable, and follow up with the relevant parties including the authorities whenever necessary.
Attend relevant operational meetings (backorder management meetings, etc.), ensuring all actions within the Transport perimeter are followed up and acted on in a timely manner, and updated in the necessary platforms.
Manage transport quotes based on existing processes, make decisions with full consideration of urgency and transport costs, and consider alternate transport solutions to reduce transport costs.
Provide adequate reporting to the team leader and manager as required and ensure proper task handover to the incoming team member to ensure operational continuity.
Provide support to the Transport tracking team and assist the team leader and managers as directed.

Background and Skills
Minimum Education: Diploma, Engineering (Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics), Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: 3 years relevant experience in transport management/freight forwarding industry or equivalent.
