Fashion & Pattern Designer

We are seeking a talented Fashion & Pattern Designer to join our dynamic team in Batu Pahat, Johor. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for creating design and paper pattern templates of garments based on designs, ensuring accurate construction, various sizes and styles for international sportswear brands.

What you'll be doing

• Create original paper patterns and fashion designs that meet the company's design brief and production requirements
• Translate design concepts into technical specifications and production-ready patterns.
• Involves calculations over the body measurement and drafting the patterns basing on the size specification.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible and align with brands requirement
• Participate in fittings, quality checks, and the refinement of paper pattern designs throughout the sample production process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, materials, and production techniques

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in paper pattern making and fashion design, preferably in the apparel industry
• Proficiency in using garment paper pattern software either Lectra or Gerber system; and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and CAD/CAM systems
• Strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and production processes
• Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities
