Fashion Designer Cum Merchandiser

Job Scope

1. Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and company's objectives.
2. Generate reports related to sales & profits and new merchandising concepts.
3. Planning budgets & annual OTB and presenting sales forecasts.
4. Purchasing stocks for the season & year based on analysis.
5. Provide sales performance information and sell-through, analyzing sales figures, trends, and regional variations.
6. Analyze customer buying patterns and demographics of our target market.
7. Analyze product selling patterns, fast-moving products, slow-moving products, and propose actions to take.
8. Meet with the store manager to discuss and analyze sales reports.
9. Monitor product movement and work closely with the sales team to ensure minimum stock inventory, maintaining a 90-day stock day.
10. Close liaison & communication with supplier/business partners in China.
11. Able to analyze product types.
12. Have a fashion background, good fashion sense & knowledge of the fashion design process.
13. Work closely with the fashion design team, logistics department & marketing department.
14. Ensure that every record, documentation, and schedule is well-documented, properly filed, labeled, and kept confidential at all times.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Professional Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in the Fashion field.
2. Passionate about fashion, creative, decisive with good judgment and strong analytical skills.
3. Ability to organize thoughts and project details under time constraints.
4. Knowledge in fabrics & garment construction.
5. Self-directed & team player.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Strong written and communication skills in Mandarin as interaction with clients from China is required.
8. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
9. Good follow-through and sense of urgency.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
