FARM MANAGER

Position: FARM MANAGER

Responsibilities:

1. Lead directing all the work activities done on a farm.
2. Overseeing the plantation of the crops during plantation season.
3. Plan with engineers the irrigation required for plantation.
4. Hiring the workers.
5. Knowledge of the right fertilizers for the crops.
6. Overseeing the harvesting of the crops during harvesting season.
7. Command for packaging the crops for sale.
8. Making an inventory of the crops and accounting for their sales.
9. Assist the director with sales of the crop.
10. Hiring help for looking after the cattle.
11. Decide on buying seeds and fertilizers for plantation.
12. Decide on buying the required machinery like tractors and harvesters.
13. Assess soil conditions and plan accordingly.
14. Overall management of the Banana Plantation, especially with a new 200 acres of land secured from the state Government of Pahang & Felda.
15. Responsible for the profitability of the company.
16. Supervise all operations of the banana plantation, including harvesting and sales of bananas.
17. Train a local Plantation Officer for the next 5 years to ensure technical know-how in planting banana technology transfer, covering the entire process from planting to harvest to sale, including exports throughout the year.
