Failure Analysis Engineer

Responsible for returned devices investigation set up, analysis, feedback opportunities and follow up the improvement.

Main Responsibilities and Authority

1. Set-up the returned devices investigation laboratory.
2. Develop and standardize the returns investigation working instruction.
3. Provide training to the returns diagnostic team.
4. Lead and monitor the returns diagnostic team in daily operation to achieve the defined output target.
5. Conduct failure and root cause analysis on the returned / reject units.
6. Analyze data and compile the failure analysis report.
7. Report the failure analysis and trending overview to management team.
8. Feedback the improvement opportunities to related function and follow up the improvement to ensure the opportunities being improved effectively.
9. Ensure implementation, adherence and participation to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures by applying to areas of responsibility.
10. Continuously contribute, develop and implement ideas that improve performance.
11. Other tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirement/Skills:

1. Strong ability on practice and analysis.
2. Understand requirements of process/equipment validation.
3. 6 sigma certificate as a plus.
4. Fluent verbal and written English.
5. Good computer skill of Microsoft application software.
6. Good coordination & communication skill and team spirit.

Other requirement:

High responsibility, pay attention to detail.

Qualification/Education:

Bachelor degree/diploma in Science or Engineering discipline or above or meet below working experience requirements.

Mechanical or Electronic Basis preferred.

Preferable 3 years’ experience in quality or engineering field in manufacturing environment or relevant working experience, good products knowledge.

Experience in medical device and/or knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing technologies is an advantage.
