Facultative Underwriting Lead

You will be working for one of the recognised international reinsurance players who is famous with its commercial and specialty insurance products. This organisation is looking for a Facultative Underwriting Lead to be based in their Kuala Lumpur office. With an aggressive growth plan and the vision to drive transformation within the company, it continues to gain market share over its competitors.

YOUR NEW ROLE
You will be responsible for leading and managing the underwriting portfolio and risk management within Property & Construction line of business. Hence, you will be trusted to establish and implement the underwriting strategy and overall technical facultative underwriting activities. Throughout the process, developing and identifying potential business will be a constant in this role via relationship with clients and brokers. It is expected for you to work closely with the relevant stakeholders, thus successfully driving the business objectives and forming your legacy in the company.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
To ensure your success within this role, you will possess:

• Background in Reinsurance Facultative
• More than 10 years of Underwriting experience in Construction and Property
• Self-driven and capable of strategic thinking and management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to maintain a commercial approach to every aspect of your role and lead from the front
