Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: Facilities: Manages multiple office and production projects varying in complexity and dealing with internal customers to identify statement of requirements, budget, and schedule. Delivering all aspects of the projects as negotiated and agreed to. Handling facilities requests based on geography, scope and/or discipline. Provides leadership and management of construction and renovation projects. Ensures good communications and acts as liaison between internal customers and service providers. Deals with projects that have a relatively high complexity level, scope, and risk level. Uses good project management skills to maintain control of projects, contractors, and employees. Prepares proposals for facilities related work and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in space and services optimization. Responsible for the overall maintenance of plant equipment on a daily basis. Maintains all systems including monitoring and keeping appropriate logs and measurements as required by site or local/governmental regulations. Ensures compliance to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standards.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of facilities management and operations.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems for industrial buildings (11kV, LV, etc.).
Understanding of environmental, health and safety regulations, programs (local and government), including ISO 14001 requirements.
Good organization and project management skills.
Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to gather and analyze data and determine the root cause of problems.
Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.
Physical Demands:
Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Job Requirements:
7 to 10 years relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in electrical or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferable to have electrical system design knowledge.
