Facilities Manager (Manufacturing Plant)

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility & Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, hands-on experience with various mechanical and electrical systems, and a solid understanding of quality improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper electrical and mechanical connections and alignment for efficient operation. This includes coordinating and guiding subcontractors during the setup of machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Supervise the upkeep and repair of building infrastructure, including electrical systems, plumbing, and other essential services to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Ensure all low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HT) electrical installations (up to 33kV) are maintained in optimal condition and comply with the statutory requirements set by the Energy Commission of Malaysia.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and support as needed to enhance their skills and efficiency.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and enhance operational reliability.
• Manage facility projects, including renovations and upgrades, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and standards across all facility operations.
• Analyze maintenance data and implement improvements based on findings to optimize facility performance.
• Work closely with other departments to support overall organizational goals and ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Degree in any Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles and technologies.
• Fundamental working knowledge in statistical and analytical applications such as 8D, DOE, FMEA, and relevant quality tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
