We're looking for an exciting and creative Executive Sous Chef or aspiring to be required for our Culinary Division. He/She will assist the Executive Chef to lead a local brigade of enthusiastic chefs.

Job Summary

  • Ensures operational efficiency, maximizes profits, and enforces quality standards, as well as maintaining a high level of staff engagement and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures the quality of food provided in all restaurants and bars consistently meets the hotel standard and exceeds guest satisfaction.
  • Involved in menu planning and theme events design resulting in creative products, thus generating culinary interest, business, and profit.
  • Enforces Talent Management initiatives to develop a team of culinary professionals.
  • Maintains a healthy, reliable, and harmonious working relationship with internal business partners and external stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years relevant culinary experience in a 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • International exposure in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
  • Compulsory to possess advanced knowledge on authentic western cuisine.
  • Fluent in oral and written English; local dialects and Mandarin are an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge and experience in Food Safety Management - HACCP procedures and controls.
  • Good leadership qualities and good trainers.
  • Drive for revenue and profit growth.
  • Creative and passionate and leads by example.
