Executive/Senior Executive - Sustainability

The primary purpose of this role is to co-ordinate, plan, and support sustainability reporting and decarbonisation for the Berjaya group to ensure that it achieves its short-and-long-term targets.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies, policies, and programmes in line with corporate goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor and report on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.
• Conduct research and stay updated on sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Coordinate sustainability awareness programs, workshops, and campaigns.
• Assist in preparing sustainability reports, including compliance with specific standards (e.g., National Sustainability Reporting Framework, GRI, IFRS).
• Support the organisation’s carbon reduction and energy efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in sustainability or a related role (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact.
