Job description

EXECUTIVE / SENIOR EXECUTIVE - QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Responsible for assisting management in designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining all policies and procedures relating to safety and health with the aim of ensuring a high level of safety and health standards in the company. To create a structured approach that integrates quality into every aspect of the production process, aiming for consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement to deliver products that meet high standards and customer expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESH

  1. Planning and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance (e.g., DOSH, DOE, BOMBA).
  2. Conducting and implementing comprehensive audit plans and procedures that adhere to regulatory/industry compliance requirements.
  3. Performing objective analysis and evaluation of information and facts, and connecting the dots.
  4. Leading, guiding, and performing tests and inspections to detect Safety & Health hazards, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Conducting accident and preventive Safety & Health training.
  6. Continuously developing, reviewing, and updating Safety & Health policy to adhere to regulatory/industry compliance requirements.
  7. Providing and recommending technical support to the management on any Safety & Health related policies.
  8. Keeping abreast of current & emerging safety and health standards & practices. Reporting any new or updated information to management and the Safety and Health Committee.
  9. Keeping abreast of current & emerging health issues (e.g. disease, epidemics, etc.) and proposing a plan of action to the management and the Committee on a timely basis.
  10. Proposing solutions to day-to-day safety and health issues that affect company personnel & property and discussing with the management and the Committee.
  11. Performing detailed inspections of plant & office facilities on a weekly basis in accordance with inspection checklist to ensure compliance with safety standards and rectify any safety & health deficiencies.
  12. Taking appropriate steps to resolve any citations issued by government inspectors, revising safety and health policy as necessary to avoid recurrence of problems.
  13. Performing detailed investigations after occurrence accidents. Providing a report on the cause of accidents within a reasonable time frame after each accident.
  14. Organizing training on fire drills, first aid, chemicals spilled/leakage & other areas which help to strengthen Health, Safety and Environment.
  15. Organizing and coordinating safety and health meetings, including arranging for minutes to be taken.
  16. Studying adequacy of safety and fire-fighting equipment in each department, discussing with respective department heads & arranging for the purchase of new equipment if required. Upon delivery of equipment, identifying a suitable location and monitoring to ensure satisfactory installation. For all new equipment, training respective department supervisors & executives on correct usage & documenting training. If possible, providing them a quick reference manual, ensuring training is then conducted by supervisors/executives for other employees in departments and documented.
  17. Performing regular inspection and testing of all safety and fire-fighting equipment to ensure they are in good working condition, ensuring servicing of equipment is done on a timely basis.
  18. Performing Health and Safety training (including usage of safety and fire-fighting equipment) on a regular and systematic basis.
  19. Involving in monitoring to ensure plant cleanliness and housekeeping are well kept.
  20. Involving in monitoring to ensure plant operation related to HSE are aligned with related legal customer requirements, CSR, etc.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

  1. Supporting production in technical troubleshooting skills, etc.
  2. Ensuring all processes are done according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  3. Implementing a proper and effective manner of the organization’s quality management system.
  4. Evaluating, interpreting, and reviewing quality plans and standards to ensure understanding, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  5. Providing information and records, implementing necessary maintenance of quality according to equipment.
  6. Controlling the disposition of non-conforming materials and finished products in accordance with established procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science.
  2. Minimum 3 years of working experience in a safety & health environment.
  3. Experience in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 is an added advantage.
