Job Responsibilities

  1. To plan, assign and supervise safety matters and requirements for all workplaces.
  2. Analysing risk, assessing hazardous substances, daily inspections, conducting daily toolbox meetings, and correcting unsafe working practices.
  3. Investigate cases of incidents and accidents, to find the root causes and recommend corrective actions to the Management.
  4. Responsible for the effective management of scheduled waste at the workplace, following all applicable regulations.
  5. Responsible for managing facility equipment, such as overhead cranes, lifting jacks, forklifts, and portal cranes by conducting inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation and that all maintenance adheres to safety and company standards.
  6. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  7. Perform joint inspection between client, contractor, and sub-contractor.
  8. Manage and maintain the company's ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 management systems.
  9. To work closely with local statutory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

  1. Possess a Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
  2. A certified and registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH / JKKP (Green Book Holder).
  3. Have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience. Preferably executives specializing in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety.
  4. Familiar with OSHA regulations & requirements. Knowledge of safety practices. Knowledge of ISO 14001:2004, ISO 45001:2018 is an added value advantage.
  5. Required language (s): English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  6. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  7. Ability to work independently with a high sense of commitment to ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
  8. Willing to travel.
