Executive – Residence Student Community (40019)

Sunway House Student Residence at Sunway Education welcomes interested candidates to submit their resume for the above stated vacancy with the following job specifications:

Responsibilities

  1. Be part of the operations of the Student Community team and be responsible for the following:
    1. Monitor and enhance the living experience and well-being of the residents.
    2. Develop a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive student community.
    3. Ensure high level of resident satisfaction and provide quality services to the residents.
    4. Ensure smooth, timely, and effective communication between the Residence Management and the residents.
    5. Liaise with internal and external parties on issues pertaining to student community and living experience.

2. Be in charge of or assist in resident support, covering the following aspects:

  1. Collect and handle feedback.
  2. Promote Community Living Standards among the residents.
  3. Manage incidents, disciplinary and special-care cases.
  4. Facilitate and mediate resident conflicts and disputes.
  5. Facilitate and manage the 'Resident Assistant' and ‘Resident Alumni’ and other student leaders programmes.
  6. Develop, plan and organize events and activities.
  7. Prepare notices to keep residents informed regarding update(s)/ announcement(s).

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualification and relevant working experience in a multicultural environment, preferably in the education industry.
  2. Ability to produce general notices/ announcements on short notice. Have a good sense in design and is passionate about creative work. Experience in using Canva and other design software is an added advantage.
  3. Creative, innovative, and motivated for continuous learning and growth.
  4. Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
  5. Strong commitment towards and understanding of student development and engagement as well as demonstrated ability to implement programmes and initiatives in this area.
  6. Demonstrated commitment towards continuous quality improvement and service delivery.
  7. Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive working style.
  8. Good communication skills, experience in managing students’ and parents' complaints and expectations.
  9. Preparedness to respond and manage student incidents and work beyond regular business hours when the need arises.
  10. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
