As a Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of key projects, overseeing timelines, resources, and team collaboration to ensure deliverables meet high standards. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will be essential in navigating challenges, optimizing processes, and delivering impactful results that align with our company’s goals.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements;
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact between internal teams, government bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment;
- Budget and Cost Management: Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints while optimizing cost efficiency;
- Regulatory Compliance and Permitting: Ensure that all projects comply with Malaysian regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements, including securing necessary permits and licenses;
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Select and manage contractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to timelines and contractual agreements;
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks throughout the project lifecycle;
- Quality Control and Assurance: Monitor project progress and quality standards to ensure that all deliverables meet technical specifications, safety regulations, and company standards;
- Customer and User Experience Focus: Ensure that the EV charging infrastructure meets the needs of users, with a focus on ease of access, reliability, and customer satisfaction, while aligning with the company’s sustainability goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical), Environmental Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus;
- At least 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or electric vehicle sectors, with direct experience in EV charging infrastructure projects;
- Strong understanding of electric vehicle charging technologies, infrastructure design, and the technical requirements for installation and operation of EV charge points;
- Proven ability to manage all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through to execution and completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met;
- Familiarity with Malaysian regulations and industry standards related to energy, environmental impact, safety, and EV charging infrastructure;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with internal teams, government agencies, contractors, suppliers, and customers;
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Asana, as well as proficiency in Excel for budgeting, reporting, and analysis;
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and problem-solving in dynamic project environments.
