Job description

Executive - Procurement (Trade & None Trade)

  1. Assist in sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best quality, pricing, and terms for goods and services.
  2. Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet operational requirements.
  3. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product quality and reliability.
  5. Evaluate supplier performance regularly, addressing any issues and proposing solutions to improve service levels.
  6. Ensure suppliers meet all company requirements, including Halal certification for food products where applicable.

3. Inventory Coordination

  1. Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels across all locations.
  2. Monitor inventory to avoid overstocking or stockouts and adjust procurement schedules accordingly.
  3. Assist in forecasting demand for goods based on historical data and market trends.

4. Cost Management

  1. Support the procurement team in analyzing costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  2. Ensure all purchases adhere to budgetary constraints and contribute to overall cost-effectiveness.
  3. Review and compare vendor pricing to secure the best deals without compromising quality.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  1. Ensure that all procured products comply with the company’s quality standards, food safety regulations, and Halal requirements when applicable.
  2. Assist in conducting product and supplier audits to maintain compliance and resolve quality issues.
  3. Stay informed about industry standards and regulatory changes that may impact procurement activities.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  1. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and order status.
  2. Maintain a well-organized procurement database for easy access and reference.
  3. Provide insights and data to support decision-making processes.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

  1. Work closely with related departments to align procurement activities with business objectives.
  2. Support the introduction of new product lines or promotional activities by ensuring timely and efficient sourcing.
