EXECUTIVE (MEDICAL ASSISTANT) - HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Medical Officer with medical consultations, COVID-19, and sickbay issues, completing all tasks assigned.
- Involve in medical consultation and treatment in the sickbay.
- Liaise with hospitals/clinics to certify medical bills and medical leave.
- Check and record all MCs received and clinic visits.
- Order drugs and maintain inventory of medical equipment and first aid supplies.
- Handle red alert terminations for resigning employees and registrations for new employees.
- Verify MCs in the sickbay.
- Organize health talks, first aid training, health promotions, and hostel leader meetings.
- Provide medical services to employees in the absence of the in-plant doctor.
- Monitor and report diseases observed during medical consultations to the in-plant doctor if necessary.
- Provide and conduct medical treatment to employees during the absence of the in-plant doctor.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of in-plant healthcare.
- Assist patients in emergencies by transporting them to hospitals.
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care for minor ailments and dressing for minor injuries.
- Provide direct care, including emergency treatment for occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer first aid for medical emergencies or work-related injuries.
- Ensure first aid boxes meet standard requirements.
- Distribute medical equipment from first aid boxes as per department requests.
- Administer medication or injections.
- Conduct pre-employment medical screenings.
- Keep the sickbay well equipped, clean, and organized.
- List stock for orders and monitor in-hand stock updates.
- Complete all tasks assigned by the Sickbay Manager, including Health Management Programme tasks.
- Assist in the completion and rectification of sickbay issues with the Sickbay Manager.
- Guide, teach, and help subordinates as needed.
Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the specific field with a valid practicing license.
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
- Ability to obtain accurate patient history, chart, and documentation.
