Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and part of WPP. We are currently looking for an Executive Media Planning to join us. In this role, you will develop, present, and execute media campaigns in multiple channels including traditional & digital media.

Your Goals Will Be:

In Three Months:

  • Be up to speed with cutting-edge proprietary planning tools as well as able to extract & analyze important data; validating our recommendations.
  • Have a pulse on the business category & knowledge of the competitive frame.
  • Worked on moderately scaled live campaigns.
  • Initiated contact with key media partners and understood the baseline of their offerings particularly digital.
  • Connected with internal specialists & external stakeholders to integrate solutions.

In Six Months:

  • Comprehend and apply our proprietary planning framework model in key campaigns.
  • Land live, larger scaled campaigns.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers within the current client portfolio.
  • Master a flawless media execution process, working alongside various stakeholders.

In Twelve Months:

  • Develop strong category acumen - from a media and business point of view.
  • Identify a pipeline of commercially viable solutions to support our client’s goals.
  • Create & execute a pipeline of exciting business building ideas which could potentially be industry award-winning.

What Your Day Job Looks Like at Wavemaker:

  • As a media consultant to the client, you are required to keep yourself updated on the media landscape and read up on consumer trends.
  • As the client’s brand custodian, you are expected to be interested in the client’s business; categories; products; competitors and target audiences.
  • You will be given a set of brands and the autonomy to manage independently with proper guidance from your Manager and Business Director.
  • You will be the first contact person for your set of accounts from internal and external contacts.
  • You will attend to requests/media tasks/assignments coming from the client, Manager, and/or Business Director.
  • You are required to monitor brands’ media budget and campaigns closely; update brands’ media flowchart; plan, implement, execute and compile post-campaign reports.
  • You will churn data from research tools; analyze data thoroughly; write your observations; draw out the implications and provide sound actionable points.
  • There will be a set of KPIs to be met from respective clients for the weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly deliverables.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Possess min 0-2 years of related work experience in communication channel planning.
  • Manage clients’ demands and collaborate with key media partners such as MPB, Astro, Facebook, or Google.
  • Experience in campaign management from start (addressing the brief) to end (presenting Post Campaign Report) for digital and/or non-digital media.
  • An active user of industry tools: Nielsen Clear Decision; Nielsen TAM; Kantar DTAM; GKF; comScore Media Metrix; Facebook Ads Manager; Google AdWords; Euromonitor, etc.
  • A regular user of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing Communications or equivalent).
  • Strong articulation and written communication skills.
  • Good storytelling and presentation skills.
  • A self-starter; resourceful; organized; observant and curious in nature.
  • Attention to detail with strong data analysis skills to provide key relevant outputs.
  • Ability to multi-task; prioritize work at hand and have good time management.
