Responsibilities

• Review, recommend and enhance investment and financial risk management policies and procedures as part of the Company's global risk management framework.
• Participate in and/or coordinate process improvement/project/CAPEX and facilitate the investment proposals risk assessments (i.e., risk in decision making) with the relevant team leads.
• Perform in-depth risk budgeting and capital adequacy analysis for the Company's property investments.
• Develop and maintain risk models and reports.
• Stay current with industry developments and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze and research emerging risks and trends in the industry and advise management where appropriate.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management strategies are aligned with management's expectations and risk tolerance.
• Deliver informative and timely risk reporting and escalate risk issues to the Head of Risk and Compliance Management.
• Conduct regular timely assessments and stress testing.
• Assist the head of department with remediation strategies and implementation of improvements on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate risk assessments and recommend appropriate risk management actions effectively to the relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, Accounting, Real Estate, Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge in investment, operational, credit and liquidity risk management preferably in real estate and unit trust industry.
• A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and report writing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, analytical, team-oriented, and deadline driven.
• Data mining, mapping and strategic analysis.
• Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, quantitative, and project management skills.
• At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience required.
• Prior experience in economic impact analysis or business development is a plus.
• Experience in property industries will be an added advantage.

Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB) is a real estate investment holding company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Yayasan Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (YAHB). It was established on 8 May 2006 with the aim to boost Bumiputera ownership in prime commercial real estate assets in Malaysia.

PHB’s core business is to strategically acquire and sensibly develop properties at prime locations in Malaysia to generate affordable and sustainable long-term wealth creation for its Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB) unit trust holders. Part of its business includes the leasing of prestigious office spaces to corporate clients.

In pursuit of the nation’s long-term economic interests, we have been tasked to nurture the development of our core business in real estate investment, primarily in prime commercial properties in major cities in the country.
