Role Purpose

To monitor and supervise Freight Sales/Audit function, verify accurate billing to cargo agents, settlement by cargo agents, monitoring cargo agents’ debts, cutover auto billing to new stations, monitoring reconciliation and ageing of Freight Sales suspense accounts so as to ensure correct sales being captured and adjusted to correct accounts accordingly.

Key Accountability

• To monitor all AWB been cleared in RAPID RDI screen before RAPID close on weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis in order to ensure all AWBs accounted for billing in correct month.
• To verify and approve Charges Correction Advice (CCA) in order to ensure CCA being supported by DCM raised by Stations.
• Verifying data & documents and creating/approving accounting entries in sales accounting sub-systems and ERP.
• Ensure accuracy of data and timeliness of sales & other charges reporting, where required.
• To verify and approve invoices, credit notes, JVs in SAP for amount short billed and over claimed by customer/agent in order to recover amount short collected. For those above his/her limits, to be submitted to Senior Executive for approval or in his/her absence, the Manager of Freight Revenue Accounting.
• Ensure all payment for invoices raised by staff received as per due date and any outstanding amount in AR to be investigated and liaise with station on the uncollected amount.
• To monitor monthly reconciliation are done by the staff, no ageing with more than 90 days so as to ensure outstanding amount could be investigated and cleared promptly. To ensure monthly submission of Clearance/ Suspense A/Cs and Ageing to be uploaded in Freight Sales share drive and Self Update Ageing in FAD Shared Folder before due date.
• To analyze and verify the monthly warehouse revenue collection as to ensure other cargo charges, e.g. terminal, storage, express handling charges, screening charges, fuel & security surcharges and tonnage are captured correctly by RAPID/SAP. To run weekly OCC Final Accounting and OCC Provisional Accounting by monthly in RAPID(FLC2058).

Qualification & Experience

• Degree in Accounting/ Finance or professional qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MIA, etc.) with 0-3 years working experience in Accounting and/or Finance or in the related field or
• Diploma in Accounting/ Finance (preferably) or Business Administration/ Economics with > 3 years working experience in Accounting and/or Finance or in the related field.

Skills & Knowledge

• Leadership - Lead & motivate his/her team. Willing to be also a team player, where required.
• To provide feedback on the work performance of team members.
• Technical - i) Possess in-depth understanding of accounting principles and practices; ii) Well-versed with ERP and other business/accounting tools.
• Possess good knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheet and presentation tools (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
• Industry Knowledge - Need Industry knowledge of aviation industry, preferably cargo, or knowledge of the job role.
