Job Purpose
To analyze transactional data to identify, report and prevent fraudulent activities, ensuring the protection of financial assets and minimizing potential losses.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, process, and analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to informed business decisions, specifically in detecting potential unauthorized and fraudulent transactions.
Develop and maintain data models, Fraud Management System (FMS) parameters, dashboards, and key performance metrics to support business decisions.
Collaborate with various units within the department to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
Conduct data mining and predictive modeling to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data quality checks and validation.
Create and present detailed reports and visualizations to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented data-driven strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in data analytics and financial services.
Perform other related duties as instructed by supervisors and managers.
Skills/ Knowledge
Possess a Bachelor degree in Statistics / Banking / Finance or any related field.
2-3 years of working experience as a Fraud Analyst/Investigator/Data Analytics and knowledge in internet or mobile banking operational process would be an advantage.
Sound analytical and investigative skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good team player / committed and customer centric.
Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other data analytics tools.
