Job description
  • Complete review / perform due diligence on customers/parties which are identified under high risk indicator. This involves analysing red flags and investigating transactional activities to detect suspicion of financial crime (i.e. money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, sanctions breaches, etc.)
  • Ensure that the CDD information obtained at the point of on-boarding and on-going due diligence is accurate and up to date.
  • Conduct risk profiling based on the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) information obtained at point of on-boarding, or ongoing CDD information obtained from existing customers.
  • Conduct review and clearing possible matches arising from daily name screening and ongoing screening from Sanctions Screening solution.
  • Ensure the completion of periodic sanctions screening for employees, intermediaries, beneficial owners/shareholders/directors of legal persons.
  • Ensure the internal tracker such as assessment tracker, high risk customer listing, internal suspicious transaction report register are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage tasks assigned and achievement of timeline on the activities/initiatives within FCC.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as and when assigned by Head/Senior Manager.
  • Keep abreast with all new releases/circulars in FINS system, and circulate this information/circulars to the related parties.
  • Assist on preparation of reporting to Board and Senior Management on matters pertaining to FCC.
  • Promote a strong culture of AML/CFT/CPF controls.
  • Ensure that a sound AML/CFT/CPF compliance is in place for the Company including training provided for business units on AML/CFT/CPF requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Risk / Audit or equivalent.
  • Good command of spoken and written English/Bahasa.
  • Well-versed in BNM requirements.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years (Exec) of working experience in Takaful/Insurance and/or financial institution with specialization in financial crime compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Possess analytical and critical thinking. Attentive to details.
