Job Description

To partner with the Process Leads to provide functional expertise, guidance and instruction on business systems and processes by facilitating the design and implementation of enterprise business applications and modules supporting the various brands and business units across the Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.

To assume the role of SDI Malaysia data custodian for the finance stream and actively maintain the Master Data for reporting.

To coordinate the AX system/D365 related project configuration and implementation on finance modules for entities using the AX system/D365 in SDI Malaysia group.

To lead and complete the policy/standing instruction update for Industrial division - SDI Malaysia Group.

To lead the Finance process improvement and standardization project for SDI Malaysia Group entities across 3 business pillars (Cat Business, Energy Services & Allied Group).

Process Improvement via business process optimization and benefits realization

To review and ensure Finance policies are updated and remain relevant to the current business environment, taking into consideration process improvement plans put in place.

To analyze and implement process improvement and system configuration options to maximize business benefit.

To ensure all solutions (including configuration and Business Intelligence (BI) changes) undergo strict quality control processes prior to being deployed into production use; work with the Finance team and IT to drive standardization of BI and reporting assets.

To work with cross functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and execute identified improvement projects.

To analyze critical processes and housekeeping metrics to drive action plans and new initiatives for improvement.

Governance over enterprise application functionality and configuration for SDISB

To analyze and evaluate business requirements, needs and objectives in developing solutions that align with the needs of the business.

To ensure that all system and process designs are aligned with SDI’s Enterprise Architecture and Governance requirements.

To ensure deployed solutions meet the initial design and quality and compliance requirements (for example testing methodologies including test cases).

Assist the SDI BPA with the standardization of BI and reporting assets across dealerships, ensuring ‘out of the box’ tools are always considered prior to customization or new development.

To maintain SDI Enterprise Architecture configuration for Malaysia.

Compliance

To review the segregation of duties (SOD) breaks with AX system/D365 to ensure compliance with annual ITGC audit.

Collaborate with SDI IT and process leads to maintain a governance structure over user access controls and sensitive data in the Enterprise Application system that complies with IT Governance and Control audit requirements.

Finance Policy/Standard Instruction (SI) Update

To review and update the finance SI.

To review and update the finance policies across SDI Malaysia.

Requirements:

Degree in Business studies/Accountancy or equivalent.

A professional accounting qualification would be an advantage.

Process improvement/simplification with automation ideas and project implementation experiences would be an advantage.

6-8 years work experience in accounting and finance related roles.
