Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Group Finance, Affin Bank in the role of ERP Finance - Fixed Assets and Leases Analyst. This position plays a critical role in operationalizing, optimizing, and improving our fixed assets / lease management module through our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure seamless operations and issue resolution.
Affin Group Fixed Assets
Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the fixed asset accounting system.
Create and monitor a system of controls and procedures for fixed assets.
Recommend to management any updates to accounting standards related to fixed assets.
Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and monitor the work in progress accounts once the related projects have been completed.
Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets every month.
Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
Review the FA statement register, freehold/leasehold statement, and foreclosed properties statement every month.
Assist the internal and external auditors in their inquiries relating to fixed assets.
Affin Group Leases
Manage MFRS 16, ensuring the proper recording of leasing transactions in the lease system.
Ensure the leases are exported to the payable system properly.
Respond to any changes in rules and regulations related to MFRS 16.
Center of Excellence ERP Finance
Assist with the management of the ERP finance system, learning its functionalities and configurations of other modules.
Support daily operations of the ERP system, including assisting with issue resolution, troubleshooting, and providing user support as needed.
Participate in system upgrades and enhancements, helping with testing to ensure the system performs well and is easy to use.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Strong proficiency in analytical tools and techniques, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Team player with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
