EXECUTIVE, DATA AND PUBLICATION (2 POSITION)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the publication process, from drafting to editing to final dissemination of research outputs.
• Edit and review documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Coordinate internal reviews, external peer review, formatting, and ensure timely dissemination across various platforms (print, online, etc.).
• Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative and qualitative data across various research projects, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Lead the development of research reports, policy briefs, and publications based on data findings. Present insights in a clear, accessible format for different audiences, including policymakers, researchers, and the public.
• Design and create compelling data visualizations to communicate research findings effectively.
• Collaborate with research teams to gather data and provide statistical and analytical support for ongoing projects.
• Employ statistical techniques to derive actionable insights from research findings.
• Prepare detailed and well-organized research reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in data management, publication, and relevant technologies.
• Communicate contents to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent events and activities to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian nationality with excellent proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Urban/Town and Regional Planning, Economics, Political Science, Management, Business Studies, Engineering, and other related fields.
• At least 1-5 years of experience in writing and publishing research reports, policy papers, or articles in both academic and non-academic formats.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English with the ability to communicate at a senior level both internally and externally.
• Certification in any data and analytics tools - SPSS/Tableau/Power BI/SimilarWeb/Microsoft, Google Analytics is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable and interested in political and socioeconomic issues and developments.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and Project Management).
• Well-versed in strategic management tools and analytics.
• Resilient and can work under pressure.
• Agile, creative, and innovative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain and build rapport with stakeholders.
• Able to collaborate with internal divisions in IDR to realize projects and programs.
• Able to lead and be a proactive team player.
• Able to execute special task projects.
