Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to target educational institutions for group bookings (school tours and excursions).
  • Achieve annual revenue targets, specifically RM 410k from school-related bookings.
  • The BD Executive will also expand efforts to build partnerships with state education departments and other government bodies to access a larger pool of students and gain long-term contracts for school trips or educational events.

Market Scope

The Business Development Executive will focus on expanding the client base within the education sector, targeting:

  • Local Schools: Public and private schools in the surrounding area (Selangor and Kuala Lumpur regions).
  • Tuition Centers & Daycare Centers: Educational institutions offering after-school tutoring and child-care services.
  • International Schools: Private institutions with international curricula that offer student excursions and recreational activities.
  • Government Education Sector: Public schools and government-funded institutions for potential large group bookings through partnerships.

Client Engagement

  • Identify potential leads within the local market scope, such as local schools, tuition centers, and international schools.
  • Initiate contact through cold calls, emails, or face-to-face meetings to establish new relationships.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with 5 potential clients per day.

Follow-Up & Conversion

  • Regularly follow up with past and potential clients to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Provide customized proposals, promote current packages, and negotiate contract terms to close deals.
  • Ensure follow-up processes are in place to maintain relationships and drive repeat bookings.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular touchpoints such as newsletters, promotional updates, and personalized communication.
  • Address client needs and concerns, ensuring satisfaction with services and enhancing client retention.

Market Expansion

  • Explore new opportunities in the government education sector, particularly targeting public schools and government-related institutions.
  • Develop contacts within this sector and propose educational and recreational packages that meet their needs.
  • Present i-City Theme Park’s offerings to decision-makers in government bodies to grow market share.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports detailing sales progress, client acquisition, and revenue performance.
  • Conduct market analysis and client feedback to adjust sales strategies and improve overall performance.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Operations, Customer Service) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in promotional activities such as roadshows or educational expos to build brand awareness and attract potential clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the tourism or hospitality sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, with a goal-oriented approach.
