Job description

Position Title: Executive Assistant
Salary: RM 4000-6000
Work location: Kuala Lumpur (Based at Mid Valley City; 5-day week)

The hiring company:
A public listed company on the main board of Bursa Malaysia. The Group's principal business activities are diversified. Currently, they are seeking a matured Malaysian male candidate to assume the role of Executive Assistant performing executive support to their Director within the organization. The position is permanent and will be based at their corporate head office at Mid Valley City in Kuala Lumpur.

About the role:
This role is exciting and fast-paced and it would suit someone who is looking for a new challenge in a PLC environment. The job role is to support and enhance the effectiveness of the Director within the organization. The job scope will entail the following responsibilities:

  1. Pro-actively manage and provide high-level executive support to the Director.
  2. Manage and administer the Director's email and other mails and schedules.
  3. Attend meetings and business discussions with the Director.
  4. Liaison with relevant parties like the legal and consultants related to the Group's business activities.
  5. Draft, prepare and review reports and documents related to the business.
  6. Liaise and coordinate business decisions.

Candidate Profile & Traits:
In this respect, candidates should possess a proven good command of English, both spoken and written; good writing skills in English. A good business and EA background at a senior level will be useful and beneficial. You need to be flexible and willing to take on tasks in quite different areas of work in support of the Director's portfolio. This role has extensive client liaison, so the candidate's ability to network with ease is essential. We are looking for someone who can fit into this critical role with the following traits:

  1. Malaysian male in the age group of 30-40.
  2. Mature, bright, lively, and personable disposition; importantly an approachable person.
  3. Possess at least a Diploma (or Degree) qualification in Business Administration or its equivalent.
  4. 3-5 years of combined working experience as an Executive Assistant or PA in a previous capacity role.
  5. Good command of English, spoken and written, plus conversant in BM and Chinese/Mandarin.
  6. Advanced skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
