Lead a team of internal consultants comprising former consultants from top-tier global strategy consulting firms and industry strategy practitioners.
Develop the Group's long and mid-term strategy and roadmap, including both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
Define and operationalize the Group’s long and mid-term plans.
Partner with CEOs and strategy heads across business and functional sectors to develop business strategies and strategic initiatives (Digital, Analytics, Operations, Human Capital, Tech, etc.) to drive performance improvements.
Advise the Board, Group CEO, and Group EXCO on executable action plans (organic and/or inorganic) to respond to external market changes, such as competitor actions and macroeconomic challenges.
Collaborate with peers within the Group Chief Strategy Office, including the Head of Group Programme Management & Agile, Group Chief Digital Officer, Group Chief Data Officer, Head of Group Venture and Partnership, and Head of Group Strategic Performance Management, to support the Group Chief Strategy Officer in driving transformational growth across the Maybank Group globally.
Support the Group President & CEO and Group Chief Strategy Officer in managing external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, investors, media, NGOs) when needed.
Requirements
Preferred but not limited to Bachelor’s Degree or Masters with elements of economics, accounting/commerce and business administration
Minimum 5-year experience working in one of the top tier global strategy consulting houses with the last position as either a junior Partner, Principal/Senior Engagement Manager or equivalent
Extensive strategy consulting and/or hands on experience in developing and executing mid and long term strategy for regional/global top financial services firms
Proficient in hypotheses driven approach to solve critical strategic problems for senior management of financial services stakeholders
Strategic, logical and clear in thought, with sharp business acumen
Articulate and able to communicate key messages effectively to stakeholders at all levels
Experience working in cross functional teams
Building and managing a highly motivated and enthusiastic team
Expertise in Digital, Data Analytics and/or Agile will be a plus
