We are looking for Events Executive to join our team!


This is a Clustered position for Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang & Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang.


As Our Events Executive, We Rely On You To

Assist and work hand-in-hand with our Senior Sales Manager and the Team to oversee and be responsible for the day-to-day sales effort of the Sales Department. Coordinate sales inquiries, proposals, contracts and provide administration back-up. Handle hotel inspections and liaise with operational departments to execute sales arrangements for Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang and Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang.


  • Help facilitate events under the guidance of the Events Manager and the Team.
  • Take responsibility in planning, coordination, managing and execution of the events.
  • Support and assist onsite with all the events team where necessary during the event period and ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to deliver the guest’s experience.
  • Work with the team to come up with new ideas and solve any recurring issues.
  • Create an exceptional event experience for our guests.
  • Identify requirements and expectations of our guests towards the events.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure everything adheres to the standards.
  • Perform administrative duties.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Has similar capacity or admin experience in an existing hotel. 2 years experience in corporate/travel industry.
  • Has an enthusiastic disposition and is highly motivated, able to work under pressure.
  • Is effective bi-lingual in English & Malay in both written and verbal communication.
  • Has a passion for the Sales Department.
  • Is a strong team player.
  • Has a can-do attitude.
  • Possesses good computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic administrative or secretarial skills. Initiative and meticulous.
  • Knowledge in Delphi / Opera is an added advantage.
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to engage in a friendly and professional manner with business partners and customers.
  • Has willingness and enthusiasm to learn. Ability to interact well with people.
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
