Job Summary

We are looking for an Event Manager to join our team at MR DIY HQ. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing MR DIY events, including corporate functions, conferences, trade shows, product launches, and social gatherings. It requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure events run smoothly and meet organizational expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Event Planning and Coordination: Plan, organize, and coordinate events from conception to completion.
  2. Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
  3. Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, including venues, caterers, and audio-visual providers.
  4. Logistics Coordination: Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, transportation, accommodation, and equipment setup.
  5. Client Communication: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met.
  6. Team Management: Train and manage event staff and volunteers.
  7. Event Execution: Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
  8. Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event management or a related field.
  3. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in event planning software and tools.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  8. Understanding of event safety and security protocols.
