Event / CPD Executive

About the role

Sabah Law Society is seeking a talented and driven Event / CPD Executive to join their team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for organizing and managing a wide range of events and continuing professional development (CPD) programs.

What you'll be doing

• Planning, coordinating and executing various events such as conferences, seminars, workshops and webinars
• Liaising with speakers, sponsors, and other relevant parties to ensure successful event delivery
• Managing event budgets, logistics, and administrative tasks
• Promoting events and programs through effective marketing and communication channels
• Gathering feedback and evaluating the success of events for future improvements.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in event management coordination, preferably in the legal or professional services industry
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a diverse range of involved parties.
• Creative and detail-oriented approach to planning and executing engaging events
• Proficient in using event management software, marketing tools, and other relevant technologies
• Passion for the legal profession and a commitment to supporting the development of legal professionals

About us

The Sabah Law Society (“SLS”) is a statutory body created pursuant to Section 7A of the Advocates Ordinance (Sabah Cap 2) to regulate all advocates (lawyers) practising in the State of Sabah.

The SLS also carries out various legal aid programs and community projects. Besides that, the SLS is actively organizing various seminars/courses/training for its members for their Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”).
