As the ESG Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) methodologies, policies and procedures of the Group. You are required to execute the data collation and reporting of the sustainability strategies and initiatives; and coordinate with business units of the Company to ensure group data accuracy and effective content reporting that meet the Company's ESG/Sustainability Framework and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Compile and research to produce data analytics and reports that include ESG related factors, risks and opportunities to support and achieve the department's objectives, which are in line with the company's vision and mission.
- Gather and analyse ESG/Sustainability data and information, conduct materiality survey to support the timely production of draft sustainability reports. (i.e. ESG reports, sustainability reports and annual reports, exco proposals, ESG surveys & etc)
- Analyse and report any sustainability issues that could impact the company's brand reputation for effective brand communication. (i.e. including peer analysis and sustainability benchmarks using ESG measures, standards and methodologies to keep informed of the latest developments in the industry)
- Prepare media drafts related to sustainability to ensure delivery of accurate and timely information.
- Summarise the list of sponsorship requests and provide value-added inputs to ensure accuracy and timely information for decision making.
- Execute the data research works within the department budget, to ensure smooth running of the department.
- Gather and provide ESG/Sustainability findings to support content for publication.
- Manage the sustainability/ESG section of the company's corporate website to ensure the sustainability content is updated, accurate and consistent (where applicable) across the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Administer proper documentation and retrieval of sustainability related content materials.
- Gather and provide ESG/sustainability findings to support the drafting of management papers/presentation slides to provide accuracy of information and timely completion of task.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the Superior to ensure timely completion and meet the department's objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in any related discipline or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of key sustainability issues, ESG international standards and best practices
- Strong analytical and research skills, ability to evaluate and assess complex topics and creatively problem-solve
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude and able to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good business acumen
- Able to work in a team as well as independently with minimum supervision
- Resourceful and adaptable in a changing environment
- Proactive in resolving issues and challenges
- Ability to multitask and meticulous
